Metallic taste. Ringing ears. Burning tongue. Frozen shoulder. Dry eyes. Feeling as though insects are crawling over your skin.

Seriously… is there anything that isn’t a menopause symptom?

In this episode of Empower Your Menopause, we head down the stranger side of the menopause rabbit hole and look at some of the more unexpected things women report experiencing during perimenopause and beyond.

We explore everything from formication and tinnitus to shoulder problems, dry eyes and digestive changes — looking at where there may be a hormonal connection, where the evidence is less clear, and why something happening during menopause doesn’t automatically mean menopause caused it.

Because there’s a balance to strike.

Women deserve to have unusual symptoms taken seriously. But we also don’t want to blame absolutely everything that happens after 40 on hormones and potentially miss something else that deserves attention.

Menopause isn’t a disease. But that doesn’t mean women should simply put up with feeling rubbish either.
